We make two types of epoxy primer for unpainted concrete or plaster surfaces. Bare plaster or concrete are highly absorbent materials which tend to soak up the first coat of paint. Therefore, a primer should be used soak in, seal the surface and provide a smoother profile for painting. These primers should only be used as a base coat for POXOLON or ZERON. Do not use epoxy primers in conjunction with rubber base paints.

POXOPRIME II
POXOPRIME II is our epoxy primer for application over unpainted concrete or plaster. Used as an undercoat for POXOLON or ZERON, POXOPRIME II soaks in and seals the surface. POXOPRIME II's compatibility with wet surfaces helps reduce downtime and increase profits.
Coverage: 200 - 225 square feet per gallon.

GUNZITE
GUNZITE is a two-part epoxy primer for application over unusually rough plaster or concrete. The heavy viscosity of GUNZITE acts as a fill coat on these surfaces and provides a much smoother surface, GUNZITE should only be used as an undercoat for POXOLON or ZERON. Especially effective on sandblasted surfaces.
Coverage: 100-150 sq. ft. per gallon

Metal Primers

Special care must be taken to insure the success of coating metal pool surfaces. Aluminum, steel and galvanized steel all have their special properties which require the selection of the appropriate primer. Bare metal should receive two coats of primer to eliminate pinholes and corrosion. Do not use the primer over an existing coat of paint.
Aluminum primer Epoxy base Prevents corrosion	BONDERITE BONDERITE primer is specifically formulated for use over bare aluminum pool surfaces. This material is a two-part epoxy that should be applied by brush over sanded aluminum. Two coats are recommended for maximum protection. BONDERITE should be used as an undercoat for POXOLON and ZERON. White in color. Coverage: 200-250 sq. ft. per gallon

STEEL PRIMERS
#219 STEEL PRIMER is for bare steel pool surfaces. Bare steel must be sandblasted, degreased and primed immediately. See Bulletin #115 for application. #220 GALVANIZED STEEL PRIMER is a special formula primer for galvanized steel surfaces. See label instructions for application.
Coverage: 220-225 sq.ft. per gallon.
